How do you find time to enjoy your day, even when you have a lot going on?

Prompt Response:  Usually, when I have a lot going on, it is because there are things I have planned and look forward to. But a busy day can still feel overwhelming and distract you from the little pleasures in life. Three things I do to enjoy the small things are to stop and take a deep breath outside and enjoy the weather and the outdoors, to be kind, and to always be grateful for everything.   Summary: Today in class, we had an assignment on NEWSela  Reflection: I thought the article had a good message to watch out for fake information and not believe everything you see online.

Now that you have completed your sensory presentation, reflect on which of the five senses you value most.

Prompt Response:  While I like all the senses, the one I value the most is sight. I value sight the most because it allows me to experience life. It allows me to experience color and light. It allows me to see my loved ones and the beautiful things in life. While all the senses are very important, I value my sight the most.  Summary: Today in class, we had an assignment on common lit.  Reflection: I thought the article was interesting in the idea that there are three types of friendships.

What holiday do you look forward to the most each year, and why is it your favorite?

Prompt Response:  The holiday I look forward to is Christmas. Not only do I love the holiday but I love the season of Christmas. Christmas is my favorite because I get to spend time with family and friends, eat great food, give a lot and receive a lot. What I usually do to celebrate is to share the light of christ with others. As a family we have fun traditions as well as traditions focused on christ. Christmas morning we always have cinnamon roles then we would open presents. That is why Chistmas is my favorite.  Summary: Today in class, we worked on our sensory presentation.  Reflection:  I liked having time in class to work on the presentation so I don't have to work on it at home.

Choose one item from your "So Much Depends Upon" list and imagine it could talk

Prompt Response:  An item from my list was my swim goggles. It would tell about the hard practices we have been through. It would tell me about the way I treat it. That I should take better care of something I use every day. The goggles would talk about being in my swim bag for most of the time. How it is cramped and dark in there.  Summary: Today in class, we read a poem and started a presentation. Reflection: I liked the poem's theme that small things can be essential in someone's life.

Write about a book, poem, or article you’ve read that made you feel something deeply

Prompt Response:   A book that made me feel deeply was "The Sunrise on the Reaping." The book made me feel sad. In the book, a previous character in past books was revealed to have a son. His son was put in the games as a way to punish him. I felt bad for him and his son Ampert who died of mutations that ate him alive. That was a moment in the book that really made me feel deeply sad. Summary:  Today in class we did a common lit assignment to help prepare us for the EOC.  Reflection: I thought that the practice was useful and I thought that the passage was interesting.

What I did over spring break.

Prompt Response:   I had a peaceful spring break. Monday and Teusday were the most calm I slept in and just stayed at my house relaxing and playing video games. Wensday my mom want to take my family back down to a strawberry farm in macon were we use to live. So on Wensday we went stawberry picking. On thursday we spent the day at six flags. And and on friday I just chilled to the house playing basketball in our  cul de sac. That was my spring break and I enjoyed it.    Summary: Today in class we did multiple-choice practice for the EOC. Reflection: I thought the practice helped me practice and review past material.

If you could plan the perfect spring break with no limitation, money, time, or responsibilities—what would it look like?

Prompt Response:  If I could plan the perfect spring break with no limitations I would plan another trip to Hawaii. My family went a couple of years ago and I would plan to go there. We would leave early on Monday morning and spend the whole day traveling because it takes a while to fly out. The rest of the week we would travel all the islands and not just stay on one. We would eat lots of great food and enjoy being with each other.  Summary: Today in class the internet was not working so we just relaxed in class.  Reflection:  I liked relaxing before the break.
